In response to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the Centre Wellington Community Foundation has established the CW COVID-19 Community Response Fund. This fund is a rapid response fund, pooling community donations big or small with other potential funding. The fund is intended to be nimble, providing rapid response focused on the work of our front-line organizations cooperating to ensure our most vulnerable citizens are safe and healthy.
This fund aligns with the Vital Signs Report of 2019 and recognizes the importance of charities and not-for-profits in the health and well-being of our community.
The initial grants (up to $1,500) are focused on addressing immediate needs in the four main areas related to food, transportation, technology, and mental wellbeing.
