Grant Recognition Guidelines

Grant Recognition

Grants from the Centre Wellington Community Foundation (CWCF) are made possible by generous donors who have contributed funds to support local projects and initiatives.

Public recognition of the grant acknowledges all donors who contribute to the Centre Wellington Community Foundation, and it helps inform the general public about initiatives in the community.

The type of recognition you can provide will depend upon the nature of your project and organization. It should include some or all of the following:

1. Logo and Language

Logo: Acknowledge the support of your grant by adding our logo on any materials printed or distributed electronically. Please do not alter the colour or distort, stretch or tilt the logo in any of the formats below:

Language (to accompany the logo): “This project was funded (or funded in part) by a grant from Centre Wellington Community Foundation.”

2. Web Link: Provide a link to our website www.cwcfoundation.ca.

3. Announcements: Include news of your grant in various publications your organization produces, such as newsletters or annual reports. When describing the Centre Wellington Community Foundation in any public information, you may use the following summary:

“Centre Wellington Community Foundation (CWCF) is an independent, volunteer-driven charitable foundation whose purpose is to provide leadership in promoting community philanthropy and enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Centre Wellington. CWCF pools the charitable gifts of many donors into permanent, income-earning endowments. Income from the endowments supports a wide range of charitable programs and activities. CWCF also focuses on providing community leadership and partnership building. For more information, visit www.cwcfoundation.ca.”

4. Media Communications: Contact local media through a media release, email or a personal phone call. While CWCF will publicize grants through our media relations activities, the actual projects (your story) are most interesting to the media. Please advise us of your plans to hold a media event if you want us to participate.

5. Stories & Photos: Digital images, testimonials, and stories help us promote your program’s benefit(s) to the community. Privacy is very important to us, so please ensure you have permission from all participants before releasing this information to us.
